Last Updated: September 13, 2025
Welcome to EasyHome! Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile apps and related services (the “Services”).
Platform role. EasyHome connects customers with independent service providers for real-world, offline services (for example, cleaning, repairs, and similar on-site work). Providers are not our employees or agents; they operate as independent businesses. While we take steps to promote safety and quality, EasyHome is not responsible for providers’ acts or omissions. (Liability terms appear in our Terms of Service.)

- Location & Service Details: addresses for service, geolocation you provide or choose, preferred dates/times, booking history.
- Provider Verification (Providers only): business name, registration number, company details, and documents you upload (e.g., images/PDFs of registrations or IDs) for verification/fraud prevention/compliance.
- User-Generated Content: messages, reviews/ratings, attachments (e.g., photos/PDFs), and content submitted via “Report User.”

2) How We Use Information
- Provide core functionality: account creation, matching/search, bookings, messaging, notifications, and processing payments for real-world services via a secure third-party gateway (PayFast).

3) Payments for Real-World Services (Not Digital Content)
Payments made through EasyHome are strictly for real-world services fulfilled outside the app by independent providers. We do not sell digital content, in-app features, or virtual goods. Payments are processed by PayFast, a secure payment service provider. PayFast may collect and process your payment information in accordance with its own privacy and security practices (e.g., PCI DSS compliance). EasyHome does not store full card details.
4) Legal Bases (where applicable)
We rely on performance of a contract (providing the Services), legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligations (e.g., record retention).
5) Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share:
- With service providers: cloud hosting, storage, analytics, error/crash logging, communications, identity/verification, and payment processing (including PayFast). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Between users as needed to fulfil a booking: limited details may be shared between customers and providers.
- With authorities: if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.
6) Safety, Moderation & Reports
Users can submit reports about other users and attach evidence (e.g., screenshots, images, PDFs). We may contact you for more information, limit disclosure of the reporter’s identity, and retain report data as needed for safety and legal purposes.
7) Provider Verification
For provider accounts, we request business details and supporting documents to verify legitimacy, reduce fraud, and promote customer safety. Verification materials are stored securely, access-controlled, and used only for verification, compliance, and related safety purposes.
8) Data Retention
